Rewarding Labor Careers

If you like to keep busy and work with your hands, then a career in labor may be the best thing for you. Some specialized labor careers require workers to attend a trade program. However, none of the careers on this list require any degree or trade program certificate.

Waste Management

Some people get a certain satisfaction from getting things clean. If you fall into that category, then working in waste management could be the perfect fit for you. Many people think waste management is all about working for dumps or dump trucks, but that’s not always the case. Another section of the waste management deals with wastewater treatment companies. These companies work to filter water at water treatment centers and to deal with any problems that can occur with wastewater streams.

House Painter

If you like to paint but are not artistically inclined, then you can still make it in a career as a house painter. House painters are best known for painting the outside of houses, but some may be hired to paint inside of buildings as well. Either way, you don’t need much (or any) formal training to become a house painter. Of course, it never hurts to have prior experience to improve your chances of getting hired.

Landscaper

Do you enjoy spending time outdoors? If so, then you could have a fun time on a job in landscaping. There are a large variety of tasks involved in working as a landscaper. These include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers or other decorative plants, raking, and general lawn care management. Again, you don’t need any special license to join this career — just a passion for the outdoors and nature!

Do any of these labor-focused careers speak to you? Consider joining one of these career paths to earn some extra cash.
